Memorable experience

Everything in this resort is treated in detail: the large green lawns on which lying the chalets, spacious and equipped with everything needed for self catering, the small shop stocked enough, the large camping area, the two pools embedded in a fantastic natural, one of which is filled with pleasantly warm water .. In addition to that, we found courtesy and helpfulness from the staff at the reception that made available accommodation larger than originally booked for four people, in order to accommodate the other two friends that were added to the group at the last minute. Staying at Swadini - besides being an experience in itself - you can explore the beautiful surrounding places, such as the dam, the lake and the bottom of the Blyde River Canyon surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Mpumalanga. After an afternoon spent among these wonders, there can be no better options than a relaxing dip in the pool (preferably in hot water ..) followed by the inevitable braai; the sounds that break the silence are the sounds of nature. Council Swadini the Resort to all those who want to restore body and spirit.

Tien uit tien, doen so voort.

Access roads to and in the resort is in fair condition and easily accessible with standard caravans and cars. There are some potholes after entering the nature reserve but the holes are filled quite regularly with sand, I assume by the resort. Chalets are available although we never got to look inside any but from what we could see they seemed well equipped. We camped in the vicinity of ablution number 5. Ablutions were of decent size, always clean with plenty of hot water thermostat packed up but was repaired the same day we reported it. Ablution 5 had a complete make over while we were there – painted, new clothes hook, lights cleaned out etc. Laundry facilities are available with the token system. These sites are large, mostly grassed and there is a choice of shaded or non shaded. Sites are numbered and well demarcated with easy reach of water, electricity and bins. There are several sites especially set for the disabled. Leisure facilities at the resort cater for all with plenty for the kids and adults to do. Putt- put, and a number of walking trails. Hot and cold pools with the kiddies pool also heated. There is no indoor heated pool. There is also a very good restaurant on site Security at the resort is very good we saw regular patrols during the evenings and nights.Gate is manned 24/7 and it is fenced. As we paid a monthly rate we found the resort offered very good value for money. Staff we always very friendly and helpful.Atmosphere at the park is one of both relaxing for the adults as well as fun for the youngsters. There is also kudu and some bush buck walking around the resort. Some of them are very tame and actually take food from your hand. The shop at the resort is very well stocked. Nearby attractions include Moholoholo rehabilitation center, the cheetah project, the Blyde river dam and the boat cruise is really worth the effort this will enable you to see the hippos and crocks in the dam as well as the Tufu Falls. The Echo caves are not to far – within 75Km lots of hiking trails and oh a must see is Mariepskop and the Klasserie water falls. Would I return? Definitely. Very good value for money.

I would like to take a liberty on behalf of Art Aid & Umbalambala Training to thank you and your colleagues for the professional manner in which you handled our booking. As for Swadini, we had a good time and we felt at home the treatment from all the staff members were very professional and it made everyone feel at home away from home. Very Neat clean & well kept - Competition for the "other" FOREVER resorts in Mpumalanga - Kids enjoyed the open spaces and entertainment. Thank you. "Great Stuff"
